Clint Granberry of OK Talk Show joins me to talk about the Hotel Galvez in Galveston, Texas.
It has a fascinating history that includes curses, pirates, mobsters, murders and suicides. Opened in 1911, it has stood as a beacon on the Gulf of Mexico, and is part of the Historic Hotels of America program. It is rumored to be extremely haunted, and Clint has experienced the high-strangeness first hand.

The man in the mirror….(bathroom selfie)

Original wedding pic. Look behind the bride’s right shoulder…(original pic)

Bride pic edited (poorly by Shannon) by bringing up the brightness and cropping. Is this the same man from the bathroom selfie?

This was a really interesting episode – I recently finished binge-watching The Sopranos and have been interested in the history of the mob in America.
Shannon, thank you for the links that you post to your guests’ websites and podcasts – they’re a terrific source of additional information. In today’s era of laziness, where it’s virtually unheard of for terrestrial radio DJs even to give the names of songs and artists, I very much appreciate the extra time you take to post these very thorough synopses of episodes and additional info that my be of interest to listeners. I’ve started subscribing to Clint’s OK Talk Show after listening to this ITF episode. I hope other podcast hosts are as thoughtful with posting links to ITF when you appear on their shows.
